OCD fixates on the invisible—so you do too:

It pulls your focus toward what might be there, blurring the line between imagined risks and real ones.

OCD doesn’t just show up as anxiety—it shows up as doubts that feel urgent and deeply personal.

Maybe you’ve had thoughts that go against everything you believe about yourself, and instead of brushing them off, you get stuck trying to figure out what they mean. You replay conversations, double-check memories, question your intentions, or search for answers—just to feel certain again.

You’ve probably tried to reason with it. Or reassure yourself. Maybe even ignore it. But the more you analyze or avoid, the stronger OCD seems to get.
It distorts your reasoning, hijacks your values, and traps you in compulsions that offer brief relief but lasting confusion. And when anxiety, trauma, or panic are also in the mix, knowing where to start can feel overwhelming.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy before, and it didn’t help. That doesn’t mean you failed. It means the treatment failed you.

There are evidence-based therapies that work—ones that help you shift how you relate to your thoughts, break the compulsive cycle, and rebuild trust in your perception.

The right approach should feel clear, make sense, and support real change

With the right treatment you can:

  • Stop searching for danger that MIGHT be there—and start trusting what IS.

  • Start to rebuild trust in yourself—and become immune to OCD’s influence.

  • Understand how OCD’s deception works, loosen its grip, and start reclaiming your life.

  • Get clear on what actually matters—and put your energy there.

kind words

  • I’ve been struggling with OCD since I was in middle school. For a long time, I didn't know I had OCD. It wasn't until I found out about OCD in my 20s when I started my healing journey. In that time when I was undiagnosed, I was just living. I didn't know who I was since my brain was always gaslighting itself.

Lindsey has made me find my true self. My true self isn't a monster that should isolate myself. I'm thankful every day for getting the help I needed and Lindsey helping me. She saved my life.

  • “I started meeting with Lindsey earlier this year, doing an I-CBT Intensive for OCD. Let’s just say - working with her has been so helpful that I actually moved from Florida to Arizona :)for a couple of reasons, but being close by to her so that we can continue working together in-person is definitely one of the top reasons! It’s been great that I can work with her virtually from other states as well. We are currently working through the modules and it has already been life-changing, and we still have a ways to go!

I truly cannot recommend Lindsey enough. I’ve been battling OCD for about half my life and it’s stolen a lot from me and my quality of life, but I’ve regained hope since working with Lindsey.

OCD treatment has always been very intimidating to me, but working with Lindsey has been amazing as she both challenges and encourages me in this journey and the hard work is certainly paying off. Thanks to Lindsey’s support, I’m learning to manage my OCD and feel like I have a new lease on life. Thank you, Lindsey!”

  • "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". These words of wisdom perfectly sum up our sons journey in finding the best of the best in OCD therapy, which is Lindsey Benolken.

Past therapist have been good, but with Lindsey, our son has found someone that far surpasses "good". Lindsey is positive and hopeful and for someone living with OCD this makes all the difference in the world. She actually gives her patients and their families hope-which can feel like a much needed lifeline some days!

The care that Lindsey has for her patient feels very personal-she is quick to respond to emails, will set up a zoom with family and if she feels like a family might benefit from a particular podcast, paper or study, she will reach out and suggest it-proof that she  always thinking about her patients and ways in which their lives may be improved! Lindsey has given us true hope, especially our son as he continues to experience improvements  with his OCD through working with her. We are all so truly grateful we found Lindsey!”

  • “I'm a 32 year old man who silently struggled with OCD since I was about 13.

I 10/10 recommend Lindsey. Before Lindsey, I didn't understand what I was dealing with, and didn't understand that I needed someone like her to help me through my struggle.

Lindsey helped me to untangle the web of my thoughts and to see myself and my life more clearly. She takes a steady approach to I-CBT, teaching you about OCD itself, and the common thought patterns that you and others with OCD typically fall into. She cares, listens, and teaches. One of my favorite things about  Lindsey is that we don't always have to talk about emotions and feelings, sometimes I can just absorb what she says and apply it to my daily life. If you or a loved one struggles with OCD, I highly recommend you see Lindsey, and I highly recommend you do it now. She truly can help you lead a more fulfilling life.”

  • “Lindsey goes above and beyond to help her clients. I cannot adequately express my gratitude to her dedication and wisdom. OCD made me a shell of the person I was before it took over my life - Lindsey helped me rediscover myself.

I have worked with her both individually and as a participant in her group sessions. She stays up-to-date on new and emerging treatments, and meets her clients wherever they are on their journey. I know starting treatment can be scary, but it is worth it. Life is beautiful without the cloud of OCD, and I am forever grateful to Lindsey for helping me find the sun once again.”

  • “I cannot say enough about how Lindsey and inference based cognitive behavioral therapy (I-CBT) literally allowed joy back into my life.

I’ve been battling OCD my whole life, starting intensive outpatient exposure response prevention therapy in college. I met Lindsey when I had my children in my 30s. OCD made it challenging to enjoy being a mother.

From the moment we started sessions, I saw improvement. Lindsey is so passionate about her work and cares deeply about the success of her clients.  She is personable, funny, and has a genuine warmth that is needed when you are vulnerable and working on challenging things. ICBT was finally a therapy that worked for me! You will not find anyone that is more willing to support your individual needs than Lindsey.”

  • “OCD was an overwhelming element of my life before working with Lindsey.  Without her drive to find solutions and modes of therapy I wouldn’t be where I am today in controlling my OCD.  I highly recommend Lindsey if OCD is  holding you back from where you want to be in life.”

  • I’ve suffered from anxiety for as long as I can remember and it wasn’t until a few years ago that I was diagnosed with OCD. ERP was incredibly helpful in my beginning treatment of OCD but there was a piece missing for me. After dealing with a particularly painful subtype and being told that my thoughts simply were random/didn’t matter, this felt wrong as it was so ego dystonic from who I truly knew myself to be. That’s when I heard about I-CBT and found Lindsey.

Lindsey brings a compassionate approach to the I-CBT modules working with you to make sure that you’re going at a pace that best suits your needs and really making sure you have a full understanding of the process. She never stops her learning either; always going above and beyond to help and find resources like podcasts, written articles, and books that are useful to follow up on your questions and help you fully understand the modules.

I’m doing much better now and the hard days are way less intense than they used to be. Having I-CBT in my toolkit is so helpful and I firmly believe anyone with OCD should try the I-CBT model. I can’t recommend Lindsey as the perfect person to walk you through this type of therapy with compassion and understanding.
